Capcom announced today that its upcoming action brawler, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, will be releasing globally as part of Microsoft's Xbox Live Summer of Arcade on Wednesday, July 29th. It will be available for 1,200 Microsoft Points. The game features over 50 characters, 56 to be exact, from the Marvel and Capcom universes. From the Capcom side, you'll see Zangief and Ryu from the Street Fighter franchise, Jill Valentine from the Resident Evil franchise, Mega Man and way more. On the Marvel side, Iron Man, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, War Machine and Wolverine are just a few of the heroes and villains you'll be able to choose from.
Other major features in Marvel vs. Capcom 2 include:
3 on 3 tag-team matches
New online matching mode, including Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix’s “Quarter Match” mode, allowing you to enjoy the arcade experience from your console
New optional visual filter that smooths out the game’s fast-paced graphics
Four button controls introduce new players to fighting games
Compatibility with the Mad Catz Street Fighter IV joysticks and Fight Pad
Marvel vs. Capcom 2 is rated T for Teen and will also be releasing on the Playstation Network this summer.
