Man of Steel: Reusable Sticker Book

HarperFestival, a division of HarperCollins Children’s Books, recently released six books for young readers that are tie-ins for the new Superman movie, Man of Steel.  I didn’t know about these books until I received a large envelope from HarperCollins last week.  Inside were the six books of varying sizes aimed at various age groups.

Man of Steel Reusable Sticker Book is an 8.5 x 11, 12-page, full-color, magazine-type paperback book with a cardstock cover.  The book contains illustrated scenes from the Man of Steel movie (screenplay by David S. Goyer, from a story by Goyer and Chris Nolan).  The artist isn’t credited, but the art looks as if it were drawn for a comic book.

In the middle of Man of Steel Reusable Sticker Book is a centerfold of 75 stickers, including stickers of Superman in various action poses.  There are also stickers of Superman’s “S” emblem and what I’m assuming is Zod’s emblem.  The young readers can place the stickers on the art throughout the book to create their own art and story.  The stickers can even be used in games, like tic-tac-toe.

I will assume that I got these books not so much to review them, as to just let people know that they exist.  I must admit that I didn’t know I’d be so happy to get some Superman emblem stickers.  So I’m guessing that there is a good change that the target audience for Man of Steel Reusable Sticker Book will also like this book.
