A sequel to the recent "Detroit League" story that concludes this very month in the pages of JLA: Classified. Vixen and Gypsy seek out Star-Girl to help her rescue the other JSA members from a team of baddies that includes Amos Fortune, the Gambler, the Wizard and others. It turns out that the male members of the JSA have been brainwashed and are being forced to fight each other for the amusement of evildoers. This raises the question of whether DC thinks the readers have any long-term memory at all. Didn't we just see the JSA members fighting for the amusement of villains not too long ago? And didn't we also have mind-controlled JSA members beating the crap out of each other just a few months ago as well? There is some promise of a great action sequence: Wildcat vs. Mr. Terrific, but they completely squander it. There is also a personality conflict between the three super-females that seems rather forced. At least the art is clear and easy to follow, if rather unspectacular. The editors should be more careful, to make sure their latest stories don't end up looking like repeats of recent tales. They could also be more careful in remembering that the name of their supervillain is "Sportsmaster"-- not "Sportsman."
