Nintendo
announced the release of
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin
today, the latest installment in the company's popular handheld
combat strategy franchise. Bringing a bold new story to the
Advance Wars
franchise,
Days
of Ruin
throws players into a
dark future, in which a devastating meteor strike has transformed the
planet into a disease ridden battleground, full of enemy forces.
Players will have to use brilliantly planned strategies to lead their
own heroic unit on a mission to restore humanity.
“ Days of Ruin is much more than just a new chapter in the Advance Wars series,” said Nintendo of Canada vice-president and general manager Ron Bertram. “Our core gamers continue to buzz about the game’s post-apocalyptic storyline, new characters and stylized graphics that bring a totally fresh experience to the series. The focus on strategy beyond raw firepower makes it more rewarding than typical war games.”
Advance Wars: Days of Ruin is now available for Nintendo DS for 29.99 $USD and CAD and is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and up.
