Alex Ward, Creative Director at EA Criterion spoke about the game's development saying, Burnout Paradise is the natural evolution of the franchise as we wanted to give the player full control to create their own personal Burnout experience. The city really comes alive when players get together with their friends online, aggressively blasting through the streets at insane speeds to see who is king of the road. The team at EA Criterion couldn’t be more happy and excited to be delivering a truly next generation Burnout title.” Burnout Paradise is available now for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 for $59.99 USD and CAD and is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and up. If you're not sure whether or not the game is for you, we highly suggest downloading the demo and trying it out for yourself.

Enter an Endless Ocean

Nintendo announced the release of Endless Ocean today, for Wii. Developed by Arika, this new game lets players explore a vast undersea world, swimming through coral reefs, exploring ancient shipwrecks, meeting local wildlife and searching or sunken treasure, all at their own pace. Nintendo is promoting Endless Ocean as more of an experience than a game, which makes sense when considering the relaxed point and click gameplay style.

Players can explore at their leisure as they dive in exotic locales, find, identify and catalogue hundreds of different types of marine life, including penguins, clownfish, dolphines, sharks, and even blue whales. The more time players spend with the animals, the more they discover about them. The game is also Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection compatible. Once players swap Friend Codes, they will be able to dive together on the same screen, via the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.

Of course, players looking for actual objectives in the game won't be disappointed, unless they're looking for action, as they can take on tasks and missions, finding sunken treasures, training dolphins, do freelance photography and more. Endless Ocean is available now for Wii for $29.99 USD and CAD and is rated E for Everyone.

WOW, 10 Million

Blizzard Entertainment announced today that it has hit a new subscription milestone for World of Warcraft . The extremely popular MMORPG is still climbing in membership, and subscriptions have recently passed the 10 million user mark worldwide. “It’s very gratifying to see gamers around the world continuing to show such enthusiasm and support for World of Warcraft ,” said Mike Morhaime, CEO and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment. “We’re always pleased to welcome new players to the game, and we’re looking forward to sharing the next major content update with the entire community in the months ahead.”

World of Warcraft now hosts more than 2 million subscribers in Europe, more than 2.5 million in North America, and approximately 5.5 million in Asia. Since it debuted in November of 2004, World of Warcraft has become the world's most popular MMORPG, and was the best selling PC game of 2005 and 2006, only being overtaken by its own expansion pack, World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade , in 2007. With development underway for the game's latest expansion, World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King , it is likely that Blizzard will only be looking up for some time to come.
