Capcom announced today that compser Bear McCreary ( Battlestar Galactica , Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles ) has signed on to create the musical score for the publisher's upcoming third-person science fiction shooter, Dark Void . While he has gained international recognition for his work on Battlestar Galactica over the last few years, Dark Void marks McCreary's first foray into scoring for video games.
“ When I got the call from Capcom to work on the music for Dark Void, I jumped at the chance to do it, considering my love for Capcom games.” said McCreary. “I have been looking for the opportunity to compose a game score for a long time, but I’ve been waiting for the right one. Dark Void’s epic story and unique gameplay drew me in immediately and I have had a lot of fun working on the project.”
With the announcement, Capcom has also a released a new video interview with Bear McCreary, in which he discusses creating the music for Dark Void , his work on Battlestar Galactica and more.
Developed by Airtight Games, Dark Void , is set to release later this year for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
