Oni Press Introduces the Board Comic with Two New Yo Gabba Gabba! Titles

Oni Press and W!ldbrain Entertainment bring comics to young readers with Yo Gabba Gabba! Board Comics! As innovative and fun as the show that inspired them, Board Comics are comics for the youngest comic fans! It's board book format meets comic book medium, introducing the youngest of readers to the wonderful world of comic books, featuring everyone's favorite characters from the hit television series and live stage show Yo Gabba Gabba! and hitting store shelves this November!

“They're perfect for reading with your kids,” said Oni Press editor in chief James Lucas Jones. “Being a father and working in comics I want to share the medium I love with my kids but I've always had trouble finding kids comics that were both engaging and accessible, especially when they were learning to read. The idea for Board Comics came to me when I realized that the picture books that they loved to read with me were only a few panels away from being the comics that I loved to read myself! Yo Gabba Gabba! stars DJ Lance Rock (Lance Robertson) and a cast of colorful characters, including: Brobee, the little green one, Foofa, the pink flower bubble, Muno, the red Cyclops, Toodee, the blue cat-dragon and Plex, the yellow robot. Both of the Yo Gabba Gabba! Board Comics feature the cast learning and playing together. In Yo Gabba Gabba!: Gabba Ball Cartoonist and Yo Gabba Gabba animator Chris Eliopoulos take the DJ Lance, Brobee, Foofa, Muno, Toodee, and Plex out for a round of the best new game—Gabba Ball! It's fun and learning with boombox buddies! While Gabba Ball is all fun and games, in Yo Gabba Gabba: Goodnight Gabbaland all-star kids’ comics creators J. Torres (Batman: The Brave & The Bold, Alison Dare) and Matt Loux (Salt Water Taffy) combine their talents to get the Gabba gang ready for bed!
