Candle Light Press' Carter Allen To Appear At Comic-Con International


Carter Allen, creator of DUB TRUB and AND THE SKY TURNED WHITE., as well as artist on MAN IS VOX, will be appearing at Comic-Con International July 20-23 in San Diego. He'll be signing books and doing sketches at the Cold Cut Distribution Indy Island, just inside the main entrance to the con. He'll also be selling books from the entire Candle Light Press catalog, including the critically-praised LEAP YEARS by Ian Bennett, THE FAIRER SEX v2: A Tale Of Shades and Angels by John Ira Thomas and Jeremy Smith, as well as our most recent releases, such as Carter Allen's DUB TRUB 3: This Dangerous Game and the preview comic of LOST IN THE WASH by John Ira Thomas and Will Grant.

Carter Allen has worked on six volumes from Candle Light Press as author and/or artist: DUB TRUB: Our World Is In Danger Now, DUB TRUB 2: The Peacemakers, DUB TRUB 3: This Dangerous Game, AND THE SKY TURNED WHITE., MAN IS VOX: Barracudae, and MAN IS VOX: Paingels. MAN IS VOX: Paingels was a finalist in Foreword Magazine's Book of the Year Awards in 2004. Both MAN IS VOX volumes also received praise from American Library Association's BOOKLIST. He is currently at work on MAN IS VOX: The Other Way and on DUB TRUB 4: Rescue Rex.

Candle Light Press is a publisher of graphic novels in Iowa City that has
released thirteen full-length graphic novels in the last three years. The
five writers and artists comprising CLP are Iowans and Iowa natives
committed to putting the novel in graphic novel. They make use of
print-on-demand technologies to produce a large body of work, available in bookstores worldwide. At any given time they are working on four original graphic novels in a variety of genres.
