No, I'm not about to write about doom and gloom in comics today. What I'm referring to is the slow season in the world of comics just after the big summer push and fall launches. It happens every year. Comics going into Christmas seem to slow down with fewer launches and crazy projects on the horizon.
Doesn't mean that comics are dead. They're just quieter until about March when everything goes viral again.
It's actually a good period to refocus and spruce up one's collection as there are less products to choose from. Over Christmas what we will definitely not see a lack of are big special collector's edition of stuff, like big hardcover reprinting stuff we already have as trade paperbacks. Doesn't matter. There are so many good books and comics to choose from.
Just indulge yourself.
