If you've followed my articles for a while, you've probably gathered that I prefer Palm to Apple and the Palm Pre to the iPhone. I really do. Yet, today I've spearheaded the release of one of the most innovative and groundbreaking app on the iPhone.
ComicBookBin 1.0 allows you to browse, search for and read over 10,000 articles written since 2002. It allows you to browse through a list of comic book conventions and to find a local comic book store in your area easily.
We believe this app will change a lot of things. We're proud of this app. It was my job as the publisher and founder of the Bin to make sure we reached our readers no matter where there are. over six months ago, we were the first comic book site to create a mobile version for all mobile users. Today, we offer comic book readers a way of keeping in touch with the comic book world on their iPhone and iPod Touch. Yep, the app works on your iPod Touch although some features like phone dialing a comic book store cannot be performed for obvious reasons.
It's been a big day for me and I've been quite busy all day for the launch. It didn't happen this morning - there was so much to do. But I kept my promise and delivered today.
I've tons of more things to say, but I'm too tired now and will take off for a well deserved rest.
You can download the ComicBookBin app from iTunes at http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/comicbookbin/id360213878?mt=8
And about the Palm Pre and webOS, that's in the work. I love Palm too much to not make a Bin app available to the best mobile platform right now.
