Avengers/JLA # 2

This mini-series is a comic book's geeks' Bible! Priceless moments - The Avengers ganging up on Superman; Quicksilver's inferiority complex; Aquaman calling that monster; the Scarlet Witch throwing tantrums; all the Avengers calling Green Lantern "kid"; Wonder Woman's "despoiler" comment; Aquaman bossing the JLA and finally, anything uttered by Hawkeye.
Busiek writes a cosmic epic whose combining the best angst and drama from such classics such as Crisis and the Korvac Saga. The stakes of this historical meeting are raised throughout the story. However, the price is the lack of exposition, and short cuts like J'onn's light use of telepathy and Superman saying Thor was his greatest challenge. That comment sounded fake.
George Perez adds layers to this epic like only he can. there are some minor problems with his work. In the Batman/Captain America, Perez mimics action/ reaction shots, but as evidenced by the rain droplet's, some shots are off. The other problems is that it's difficult to properly perceive the size of large characters like Galactus. He, Krona and the Grandmaster seem normal sized.
