There isn't a single part of the comic book that I had a problem with. Kurt Busiek set the whole story so well that it can easily be picked up bu other writers and integrated into regular continuity if they want to. Except the confusion about Aquaman's uniform, there's nothing to complain. Nowadays, continuity is often a bad word. Busiek and Perez have built this book on continuity.

Kurt Busiek is one of the few writers to make continuity work creatively. His ability to make you root for whichever team his writing about is incredible. When Busiek showed the JLA's perspective, I could not help but root for them. It was the same when it was the Avengers' turn. Only a genius can make me switch allegiance in the middle of a story. It makes the cliffhanger more painful.

George Perez is comic book geeks' best friend. Naturally anything he does, especially on such a highly anticipated book can only be compared with the 1984 DC Comics maxi-series Crisis of the Infinite Worlds. He's better. Each Avenger and each Leaguer has an individualized look. You can tell Kyle Rayner is in his early 20s. Perez even makes Starro look good!
