Wonder Woman #34

Wonder Woman meets her brother Jason, but he betrays her with Grail, the Amazon daughter of Darkseid. Will Jason and Grail defeat Wonder Woman and take her godly essence to help revive Darkseid?
I prefer that Jason is a villain, or misguided, rather than another hero. I know, this was the most evident thing to do with such a character and everyone wanted to see which one of the two twins would be the most powerful. The comic is effective if not formulaic. This story would have proven more popular if it did not remind old readers of the many siblings that Wonder Woman has had over the years. Each take away from her uniqueness. At least Jason does not replicate her full array of powers.
I like that Jason has this huge nose and is not very good-looking. I like this not because it makes him a perfect villain but because it seems more authentic to have characters that are not always super beautiful, especially when your sister emanates the powers of the Goddess of beauty. I enjoy Sergio Davila’s pencils very much. He is great with the Greek setting of the story and draws realistic figures that also move fluidly on the page.
