The Autobots continue their investigation of Spike’s extra-curricular activities and discover proofs that he’s murdered some Decepticons. But Spike is also trying to outsmart the Autobots. Will Prowl and Streetwise find out what Spike and the Decepticons are up to?
I like how Streetwise was introduced a few issues ago as a new major player in the Autobots’ camp. I was expecting Streetwise and Prowl to play good cop / bad cop during their interrogation of the government agent but Costa didn’t see it that way. I really like the pairing of the two Autobot cops in this issue and previous ones. Costa takes a little known character that has been around for decades but never developed and makes him play a bigger role and provides him with a more memorable personality. Just a few lines and a few gestures were sufficient to give Streetwise enough character that he should be a well-liked Autobot in the future. I definitely prefer the Earth-bound stories of the Transformers, rather than the current story alternating every second issue on Cybertron.
Cahill should be the regular Transformers illustrator beyond the Chaos storyline. I really enjoy his take on the Transformers. Prowl really looks unique in robot mode, although in his alternate car mode, it’s sometimes tough to distinguish him from Streetwise. This story is really enjoyable from the first page to the last.
