The Eisner Award nominations for 2014 have been announced. DC Comics fared better this year, but Image continues to dominate, taking 4 of the 5 Best Continuing Series nominations. More at the Washington Post.

Television
WGN is set to adapt
Scalped
into a TV series. The critically acclaimed and bestselling Vertigo
series followed Dashiell Bad Horse's return to his family's reservation
and was a pretty great noir. More at

Film
Hanna writer Seth Lochheed will be writing the film adaptation of
Who is Jake Ellis. The David Yates is directing the film, which still has no release date. More at

Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly Eyeing are reuniting for
Border Guards. The film, about US border patrol guards, will be written by The Thick of It and Veep writer Jesse Armstrong. More at

Michael Bay's production company is planning a reboot to the reboot of the last
Friday the 13th film, which performed poorly at the box office. Apparently, this wasn't reason enough to maybe put it away for awhile. More at

Hans Zimmer will score the upcoming
Batman-Superman film. Zimmer also scored the
Dark Knight Trilogy,
Iron Man, and the upcoming
Amazing Spider-Man 2. More at

Kick-Ass director Matthew Vaughn will produce another Mark Millar comic, this time with
Superior. The series follows a boy with MS who is granted superpowers and becomes basically Superman. More at
