It’s Sakura, and R. Mika versus Zangief in a public brawl where Ryu’s number one fan lives her dream of becoming a better fighter. But all is not well on the battle front. First, there’s Dan, continuously getting in the way of a good fight, and paying the price for it. Second, there’s Karin, Sakura’s other arch enemy who wants to avenge an earlier defeat. Is there enough time in one day for Sakura to fight all those combatants?

This is a light-hearted story with several jokes and in jokes that only hardcore Street Fighter connoisseurs will notice. The writer also tried to incorporate as many cameos from the Street Fighter universe as possible. Like the preceding issue, there is not much story. It’s all gags and beautiful art.

Yes, the artwork is gorgeous. But it may not appeal to everyone. It’s a realistic take on Mangas with the feverish Anime colouring. The result is a visual delight. What I like about this particular style, modelled after that of character designers from Capcom, is that it’s realistic and Manga all at once. Of course Dogan’s strength is his affinity for comedy situations, fitting his work seamlessly with Siu-Chong’s script.

8/10
