The American President decides to declare Norman Osborn a traitor and asks that H.A.M.M.E.R. be taken down. Meanwhile, on the battlefield Thor faces the Sentry – alone and Captain America and Iron Man take down Norman Osborn. But Osborn shows his real face and loses control over the Sentry. Is all hope lost?
This is the type of issue that I like. I reread it several times because it was that good. I was hoping I could get more from it. This is a game changers and Bendis is moving the storyline quite well. I was afraid this issue would be about nothing. Now we know what the last issue will be about. It will be about how villains and heroes band together to stop the Sentry. Bendis executed well on his seven year plan by introducing the Sentry in New Avengers #1 and following up with him.
Coipel is Coipel. He’s one of the best artists that Marvel Comics has right now. His folksy style captures all characters’ idioms so well. I like his rendition of the Sentry as this parasitic creature. Of course I like his Thor and I like his Captain America and Iron Man. There’s a double page spread in there that just calls to action. All the heroes are lined up and ready to kick ass. Just perfect.
