Order of Dagonet #1 Double Size New Edition
By Andy Frisk
July 5, 2012 - 23:53
Being one of the first to champion fledgling Firetower Studios most engaging comic book,
The Order of Dagonet by Jeremy Whitley and Jason Strutz, I'm very pleased to announce that Whitley and Strutz's creation is now being published by Action Lab Entertainment and is being listed in
Previews monthly! It was just a matter of time before these guys' creation started to garner the attention, and now sales, that it warrants. A quirky mash up of
LOTHR and
Fables set in modern times with a gaggle of somewhat goofy knights, the likes of which are thinly veiled interpretations of the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Neil Gaiman, Sir Ian McKellan, and Elton John, who are assembled to thwart the invasion of England by Oberon and his Faerie crew,
The Order of Dagonet is unlike anything else on the market right now. Packd with smart and socially conscious storytelling portrayed through some of the most unique sequential art you'll see on the shelves right now,
The Order of Dagonet has been my favorite Indie Comic of the past few years.
The first issue of the Action Lab Entertainment version of
The Order of Dagonet is a thick 44 page intro to the story and its characters and is comprised of issues #1 and #2 of the original Firetower Studios published versions of
The Order of Dagonet. (Two issues the collectors are going to be dying to get their hands on soon!) For more info on, and a look into the story and art of
Dagonet, check out my
reviews of the original Firetower Studios editions of the first six issues of
Dagonet. For more info on Action Lab Entertainment and their publications, check them out by clicking
here. Congratulations to Jeremy and Jason on the success of
Dagonet and here's to many more issues to come!
