Grayson has a problem. He just beat a street thug to a pulp without even
thinking about it. Pure instinct. As Nightwing, he might have known when to
show some restraint, but having denied that identity, he’s made a royal mess of
things.
But he’s about to have an easier time of keeping that particular costumed identity under wraps, as a new wave of Nightwings make their debut in Bludhaven. Remember when Superman died, and four replacements jockeyed for position as the guardian of Metropolis? It’s kind of the same deal, though these four are a bit more united.
And that’s a good thing, too, cuz Bludhaven has problems – not the least of which is a madness inducing gas that turns everyone it touches into raving, homicidal lunatics.
Chris Mooneyham’s artwork seemed a bit uneven this issue. Uneven compared to what he’s done before, I mean. Perhaps he drew it under a tighter deadline than usual, but it seemed to me a wee bit rushed. But even rushed Mooneyham is better than some other artists I could name (but I won’t).
