For years now Microsoft has offered tools and information regarding safer and more balanced video gaming for parents and recently combined those materials and efforts in a program called “Get Game Smart”. This program was designed to help families identify a procedure to ensure their kids are using video games and media in safer, healthier and more balanced ways. The result of this initiative is a website that has just launched, www.GetGameSmart.ca, which brings together the best information and assets from Microsoft and its program partners on parental control tools, expert tips, interactive activities and other resources together online.
GetGameSmart.ca helps kids and their parents establish healthy habits for video game play time, watching TV and browsing the web by encouraging dialogue in the family. Visit www.GetGameSmart.ca for more information.
