Men in Black 3

Agent J must travel to the past and partner with the younger version of his current partner Agent K to stop the evil alien Boris the Animal from rewriting history and invade the Earth in the present. But Can Agent J save the timeline from the time-traveling villain?
If you’ve watched the first and the second Men in Black films, well this one has nothing new to bring and frankly, they should reboot the franchise with new actors and a new angle. The partnership of the young and brash Agent J (played by Will Smith) with the stoic and older Agent K (played by Tommy Lee Jones) has definitely run its course. That there was little character growth possible was shown by having to replace Tommy Lee Jones for much of the film with a more interesting and younger actor (Josh Brolin) . It used to be that putting Will Smith in any film would just create an instantaneous “Will Smith Film” TM success. This film was a rehash of past glories with better special effects and more gore.
If the point of this movie was to create a sequel to keep the name of the franchise in circulation, then they definitely succeeded. But if it was meant to revive the franchise, then it was a failure. I’d rather not see a Men in Black 4 with the same actors based on the same premise. A decade ago, this franchise with its slick animated cartoon spin-off was where it was at. It was fun, innovative and even groundbreaking. Now, it’s a parody of itself. I know this movie has stopped playing in theatres just recently, but save yourself any trouble, rent the originals and get the comic books instead, but skip this one.
