Man of Steel Teaser Doesn't Disappoint!

While it did not bring me to tears, the teaser trailer that is currently playing on
Dark Knight Rises did give me chills. I know that I must temper my anticipation and expectations at this point, but...the images of Henry Cavill as an unshaven, globe trotting Clark Kent who works a crabbing trawler, hitchhikes in what looks like the Pacific Northwest, (all seemingly as part of his journey to becoming a very human Man of Steel) and finally breaks the sound barrier while leaving contrails in the atmosphere as he flies as Superman, interspersed with images of a young boy running around the yard of his parents Midwestern farmhouse wearing a red towel as a cape, all set to what is (I believe) a particular moving piece of music lifted from the
Lord of The Rings soundtrack (since the final soundtrack for
Man of Steel might not be done) was in total nothing short of awe-inspiring.
Fellow Superman fans, I got the same feeling I had when I saw the early teasers for
Batman Begins. Namely, that we're finally getting a serious and mature re-imagining of one of the greatest superheroes of all time. The whole trailer, which also had a powerful and inspiring voice over from Russell Crowe as Jor-El, simply looked like everything that this Christopher Nolan
Dark Knight Trilogy fan has been waiting to see in a Superman movie. I hope I'm not remiss when I say:
Man of Steel looks to be the
Batman Begins of the Superman film mythos. Based on this early teaser, that's exactly what this film looks like it is going to be.
