The Legion has a new recruit in Timber Wolf but can this feral, traumatized super-being be successfully integrated into the team? This book, a spin-off from the new cartoon series on the Legion, shows us what happens when the team tries to fly Timber Wolf back home, only to encounter various obstacles on the way. It is a strange story which tries to expand on the characters of the Legion members rather than focusing on action. It is an okay issue but is also rather humdrum. No major threats, no menacing villains, just Legion members arguing with each other and trying to keep their rickety spaceship flying. Frankly, it looks like this comic has been relegated to being a back-up to the cartoon, giving behind-the-scenes stories to the TV series rather than telling stories on its own. The art, while unique and quirky, doesn't really lift the series and the cover just looks confusing with Timber Wolf looking especially ugly. Two stars out of five.
