Bobby and Christopher Crosby's apocalyptic zombie comic book in which vampires try to protect the last few living people on earth, is to be brought to the big screen by director Simon Hunter (Mutant Chronicles, Lighthouse).
There is no word yet who'll be taking the various roles. But for the loyal fans of the digital comic and graphic novel it's good news that this story has been picked up. Chock full of action, drama, tension, suspect loyalties and moral dilemmas, Last Blood is very cinematic in it's pacing and style. I think it could make a very successful transition to celluloid in much the same way 20 Days of Night.
For those of you wishing to catch up on Last Blood events (or suffering zombie/vampire withdrawal) there is a 120 page graphic novel available and two prequels are planned for around Halloween too.
