Elsa Bloodstone, Vampire Hunter, is back and has purchased a large dragon for a new hotel in Las Vegas. However this dragon attracts other reptilians into the city. Elsewhere, Iron Man saves the day from a terrorist and meets a few beautiful girls in the pool of his office in Las Vegas. But before he can have fun, his executive assistant, Pepper Potts, reminds his that there are other things on his schedule. Can Iron Man save the day?
There is a little bit of humour in this story, but it is very light. The premise of the story is interesting, but without proper introduction to characters like Elsa Bloodstone, even hardcore comic book readers like me can wonder who the obscure characters are and what their purpose is. If one has to rely on Wikipedia to understand a story, than this story has failed to immerse the reader completely. This issue was also superficial in that not much really happened. It seems like it’s going to be one of those series where reading all four issues at once is more beneficial than just parts of it. That’s too bad.
Granov’s work is fine, although all women seem to have the same face and the same body. Even Pepper Pots looks hot! I like how he draws outside scenes. The painting style almost looks realistic. There are a few shots where we see a large field or a desert that look beautiful. Obviously, one of the problems with Granov’s work is that the paintings look stiff as he had difficulty conveying movement. It feels like an Italian photo novel. Gorgeous but stuck up
