Harely’s back from Apokolips, and not a moment too soon. Her Coney Island HQ is about to be wrecking balled into smithereens. Apparently she neglected to pay her mortgage while on vacation, so the property is in danger of being gently fried gentrified in hipster townhouses, complete with hot and cold running Voss water.

BUT…Harley has a 48-hour deadline in which to scrape up the scratch to pay what she owes. For a woman whose legal compass has been known to stray from due North from time to time, 48 hours is plenty of time to get the band back together, play a few gigs, and earn the money she owes.

But that’s not what she’s going to do. Instead, she sets her sights on bringing in the million dollar bounty on Lord Death Man (I know, sounds like a poorly translated animé, doesn’t it?). But there’s a reason he’s called that, suggesting the bounty is going to prove more difficult than landing a record deal from prison.

It’s a fun read, with Harley at her homicidal wackiest. But at least she’s chosen the right target. I mean, she’s not so bad. She brought home Petite Tina from Apokolips. Here’s hoping that act of charity comes to mean something, rather than simply see another Misfit join Harley’s band of Hard Luck Cases.
