This is a message to all television networks running season or series premieres tonight. If you are expecting extremely high ratings for all of your premieres tonight, think again. That doesn't mean that there won't be anybody watching your shows, but the likelihood is that any show you have on tonight after 7:00 pm (Eastern Time) won't get ratings anywhere close to what you're expecting. If you're wondering why we're saying that, the answer is quite simple. Halo 3 launches tonight.
Yes, there will still be plenty of people sitting and watching your shows. However, the probability is, especially in the case of NBC's Heroes , that many of your viewers will be out of their homes at various Halo 3 launch events, some of which start as early as 7:00 pm (Eastern Time). So to all of you big television networks out there, wondering where all of the people you were expecting to watch your shows went, don't say we didn't warn you.
