Green Arrow #29

So after his trip to Metropolis Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow is in Gotham.
And the reader gets treated to more of Ollie's internal monologue basically spouting social justice the character is known for, I really believe in this arc Percy is trying to get Green Arrow back to his roots. Not only a send up to the classic GA/GL O'Neill series but a modernization of who he is today and where he fits into the Rebirth universe.
However without too much explanation the scene shifts to court of owlsmand their talons and we see Green Arrow and Batman throw down with them.
So one could argue besides a few from fights(as much against heroes as enemies) not much is happening in this arc. I would counter that by saying Percy is further cementing who Oliver Queen is, without retelling origin story. So overall I would give the story a 7.5. And the art, again on point broad brushstrokes painting the action so not as stylized and detailed as some titles but so beautiful and perfect for the title.
Rating: 7.5 /10
