GTA IV Midnight Launch

At long last, all of our videos from the Grand Theft Auto IV midnight launch at the Dundas Square Best Buy in downtown Toronto are finally online. We had a lot of fun on Monday night, leading up to the launch, and that was thanks in part to a very craftily handled promotion for the Xbox 360 version of the game, including an entire cast and crew of Liberty City policewomen, a fake reporter and a plot to steal all of the copies of GTA IV from the Best Buy.

There were a large number of people lined up to purchase the game. The numbers were likely helped by the news that Microsoft and Best Buy were giving away Grand Theft Auto IV merchandise and a Limited Edition GTA IV Xbox 360. The first 100 people in line at each of the five Best Buy locations that were doing the midnight launch were eligible to win one the Limited Edition Xbox 360s.
