Daredevil #505

Daredevil travels to Japan to consolidate his control over the Hand and its five international divisions. But the Hand is wrecked in internal warfare and Daredevil is caught in the middle although he controls nominally this ninja sect. Will he assert his power or die trying?
So last issue I complained that writers kept reusing old Daredevil material and not really expanding it besides turning things upside down. Here Diggle introduces a whole new storyline set outside of Daredevil’s normal play ground. This story feels more like a Street Fighter story than Daredevil, but the execution is much better. I like the renegade Hand leader Bakuto. I don’t mind if Diggle stays with this story for a while and abandons the one with Norman Osborn and H.A.M.M.E.R. this one is just more fun.
Checchetto is a good replacement for De La Torre.Hollingsworth’s colours help cement the whole story and make sure it all fits in. This is turning to be a real classic Daredevil story in the making, visually and storywise.
