Spider-man and Wolverine, through a weird accident are sent to the past through an accident during a case. While Spider-man lives as an exile and tries to do as little damage as possible that could change the future, Wolverine takes to the native and becomes their tribal leader against other tribes. But upon returning to the present, again by accident the fellows notice that they’ve changed the future while they were in the past. Can they fix everything?

It feels to me that this comic book exists to coincide with the Batman: The Return of Bruce Wayne series where Batman is traveling through time to return to the present. So this series feels like a me too experiment with the two most popular Marvel Comics characters duking it out on the shelves against Batman.  The story is simple but fails to capture the buddy buddy past of Wolverine and Spider-man. It’s new ground here and the fact that neither character can stand the other is probably a reflection of how it would be in real life if one was stuck on a deserted island with a best friend. It could all unravel even with the best of friends.

The artwork is the weakest part of the comic book. It flows well, but I don’t like Peter Parker’s face. Nevertheless Kubert draws good facial expressions.

Rating: 7 /10
