Games developer, Gearbox, has anounced that movie-tie-in Aliens: Colonial Marines will now be released this autumn and not this spring as previously thought. Whether this is related in any way to Ridley Scott's upcoming (and eagerly anticipated) quasi-Alien prequel, Prometheus, is unknown at this time.
Aliens: Colonial Marines, is a first person shoot-em-up (squad based)
being developed by Gearbox software
based on the Aliens franchise. It will be a multi-platform game published
by Sega. The planned platforms are Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS,
Playstation 3, Wii U and Xbox 360.
